About this policy

This privacy policy explains how the Veg SmartMargins project looks after the personal information you give us through this website. Veg SmartMargins (project MT25016) is funded by Hort Innovation. Hort Innovation is Horticulture Innovation Australia Limited. The website is run by Redshift Creative Pty Ltd (ABN 88 627 115 995), lead delivery partner for project MT25016.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

The only personal information the website collects is what you choose to give us through the register-interest form. That may include:

• your name
• your email address, and a phone number if you give one
• your business or farm name and its general location, such as your region or state
• which crops you grow
• how you would like to be involved (a focus group, the pilot, or staying informed)
• anything else you type into the form

You do not have to give us this information. If you don't, we may not be able to involve you in the project.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookieless service, to understand how visitors use the site. It collects anonymous page-view data such as the page visited, referrer, browser type and country. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics, and no data is stored on your device.

The register-interest form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which helps us prevent spam and automated abuse. See Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Policy.

The fonts on this site are delivered by Adobe Fonts. Adobe does not set cookies to serve fonts, but your browser requests the font files from Adobe's servers, and Adobe logs data such as your IP address to provide and license the service. See Adobe's Adobe Fonts privacy information.

Why we collect it

We use this information to:

• contact you about taking part in the project
• organise focus groups and the pilot
• keep you informed about Veg SmartMargins as it develops

We only use it for the project. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.

Who can see it

Your information is seen only by Redshift Creative and its project subcontractors working on Veg SmartMargins. Our systems are hosted by service providers who store information on our behalf and cannot use it for their own purposes. We do not share your information with anyone outside the project without your consent, except where the law requires it.

The register-interest form is separate from the tool itself. The tool will have its own privacy policy when it launches. Its core commitment is that only you can see your figures and nothing leaves your account without your explicit say-so.

Where it is stored

Your information is stored on secure servers located in Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

How long we keep it

We keep this information for the life of the project. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, unless you have agreed to carry your registration over to the tool.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us to:

• show you what personal information we hold about you
• correct it if it is wrong
• delete it

To do any of these, contact the project team using the details in the website footer. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, contact the project team first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project develops. The current version will always be on this page.
